As part of our ongoing commitment to equality, Beath High School is undertaking work towards our Charter Award. This will set foundations for fair and equal treatment of all young people, parents, carers and colleagues, regardless of their protected characteristics, whilst having a particular focus on LGBT+ issues.

The Charter will allow us to complete high level staff training and ensure young people's voices are heard in decision making processes around LGBT+ themes. We will improve visibility so young people, parents and carers can see themselves more accurately represented across the curriculum.

This work will involve celebrating events in the LGBT+ calendar, adapting our current policies to improve inclusivity, delivering lessons and assemblies on fairness and kindness whilst celebrating the diverse community we serve.
